Savvy – Powerskills EP [Saving Grace]

UK Brit hop hero Savvy aka Asaviour is set to release the new single 'Powerskills' on 6th April. The ultra-catchy tune produced by Camp America sees Savvy collaborate with Athlete's Joel Pott, who lends his vocal talents and Russell Lissack from Bloc Party who is on guitar duty. The result is a unique fusion of jazz-spiced, electro tinged indie Brit Hop track that will please fans of both hip hop and indie music.

Dubbledge – The Trilogy / Choices Choices CD [Hidden Agenda / Dented]

At the tail end of 09, Dubbledge dropped the incredible 'One Inch Punch' Mix-CD, which saw the emcee bring an entire LP worth of lyrical heat over the mid-90s most loved hip-hop instrumentals. But you wanted more - the heads demanded some material over original beats, and boy, does Edge deliver. To bridge the gap before the album proper drops (with some very big surprise guest producers), here are two bangers that will surely whet the appetite for the impending madness of his sophmore LP.

Asaviour

Asaviour

Asaviour has been on the rise for a few years now and his forthcoming LP 'The A Loop Theory' will surely cement him a place at the top of the UK Rap pile. Here he is talking about his past, Lowlife, who he's worked with and which tracks off his new album with DJ IQ are his favourites:

Evil Ed - Edstrumentals Vol. 1 CD [ottomanelfmusic]

Evil Ed – Edstrumentals Vol. 1 CD [ottomanelfmusic]

If it's beats you're looking for then look no further than Evil Ed's 'Edstrumentals Vol. 1'. It's 20 tracks of Evil Ed's best known instrumentals used by Yungun ('The Art of Celebration' and 'Nico Suave'), Task Force ('The Tournament'), Tommy Evans ('Alright/OK'), The Colony ('Back Up'), Asaviour ('Field Of Dreams') Conspicuous & Shameless ('Write A Song For Me'), Ricochet aka Ric Branson ('A New Way of Thinking' & 'No Pressure') and Jehst ('Alien').

Sir Smurf Lil’ – A New Bloodline LP [YNR Productions]

A New Bloodline’; Sir Smurf Lil’ teams up with the current cream of UK producers - Jehst, Apa-Tight, Beat Butcha, LG, Conspicuous and Asaviour - all men well known for their dusty Hip Hop beats. Don’t take that the wrong way though; on paper ‘A New Bloodline’ may seem like a quick tracing of the UK rap outline but in reality the uniquely stylised rendering of Smurf makes this more than just a carbon copy.
