Its been a while since we last had one of Farma G's sponsored freestyle battles and this latest installment looks like it could be fire. There is a £150 prize for the winning MC and the artist line up is stellar in the extreme. Reading like one of the best nights line ups that Kung Fu put on this night is set to continue in that vein. ‘Survive Or Die Trying’ or ‘New Mic Order - The Mixtape Part 1’ is the latest release from Task Force’s Chester P. One of the great things about this CD is the fact that it is ‘part 1’ – it promises more, and more of this can only be a good thing.

Coming up under the wing of Task Force can never be a bad thing. First appearing in 2002 on the ‘Mud Fam EP’ and then again in 2003 on ‘Music From The Corner Volume 2’, Ramson Badbonez has had a good start in UK rap life. Along with DJ Harry Love he now brings us an epic collection of verses and concepts over a load of beats from the greats (Premier, RZA, 9th Wonder, Alchemist, Madlib and more).

On 20th September 2008, Huddersfield emcee Jack Flash took part in, and won the UK final of the End of The Weak rap battle against three other extremely talented English artists. Up against Dubbledge, Arkaic and M9, and with Chester P (Taskforce), Jehst and Reain as judges, it was always going to be a tough competition.

Having recently dropped his solo album: ‘From The Ashes’, member of UK collective ‘Task Force’, Chester P has never been behind the door when it comes to giving his opinion. His online blogs offer entertaining, if not long reading. Happy to speak his mind, he claims to represent truth.

Since ‘From the Ashes’ dropped there has been an abundance of hype surrounding Louis Slipperz and Chester P’s latest offering. Now I know you’re intelligent people, you check this site; so I’m writing this with the assumption in mind that you’re reading it without any pre conceived notions about the CD.

While we are more used to seeing American heroes of Hip-Hop headline at The Doctor’s Orders, on the 2nd of November they are bringing it back to these shores with what is none-the-less another stellar line up that will see the regular crowd packing the dance-floor as per usual!

Kung Fu presents an all new freestyle event, bringing back the original freestyle concept, through three elimination rounds, culminating in the "Five Word Final". In each round a number of words will be called out by the crowd and written on the board, each contestant will have to use their individual words in their freestyle.

As the name suggests, this event is the brain child of one half of the seminal group, Task Force, Chester P. Chester says, 'I would define the night as a unique and energetic environment where the audience scream out words of which I pick up to 5 and the 2 selected MCs battle it out, there are 8 contestants in all who must endure 3 rounds of lyrical pugilism'.
