Immortal Technique is an angry man. When he hits the stage, he already looks a bit upset. But this is something you expect from Immortal Technique, the rapper known for conscious lyrics and an uncompromising, often aggressive approach to hip hop. He hadn't played in England since 2010 and he seemed set to make up for the two year gap at the Brixton Electric. We have been informed that due to unforseen circumstances Onyx show scheduled for tomorrow 4th August has had to be postponed. No reason given, but I guess the use of the term postponed suggests that the gig may be re-arranged sometime in the future. Was looking forward to getting rowdy so its a pity this has not come off, but these things happen.

The original bad boys of Def Jam, Fredro Starr and Sticky Fingaz are comin to the UK for a massive gig in August. This should be an event not to miss with a catalogue of rowdy hits from as far back as 1993's Bacdafucup LP which included Slam which should get the whole audience bouncing. Djembe Entertainment have also put some great acts on the support bill so be sure to reach Fabric on the 4th August.
The renownd MC Competition and party night End Of The Weak returns for heat 4 which takes place in the quirky Passing Clouds members club in Dalston. The night has a fantastic line up so make sure you attend. Artists performing on the night include: Blak Twang, 2000 Fast Women, The Stepsons, Granville Sessions, DJ Snuff and MC Honey Brown, Stig Of The Dump, Jack Flash, Virgo Villian, Baby Blu and Peaches.
In 2006 End Of The Weak brought its MC Challenge to the UK.. Hosted in Brixton London at UK's own leading Hip Hop event [anyone want to dispute that?] Speakers Corner!! In the first UK season we took the challenge all the way to New York with Stig Of The Dump taking home the Championship title for the UK!
