The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is pleased to announce its 2007 finalists and semi-finalists. Selected out of over 15,000 entries from 100 countries worldwide, they represent all genres of contemporary music and reflect an impressive wealth of diversity and talent.
The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) is now accepting entries for 2007. One of the largest songwriting competitions in the world, ISC gives away over $150,000 in cash and prizes, including an Overall Grand Prize package of $25,000 (US) in cash and over $20,000 in merchandise.
Vikki Simpson, Australian singer-songwriter from a folk group called "The Waifs" won the overall Grand Prize as well as the first prize in the Folk category with her song "Bridal Train" in the 11th Annual USA Songwriting Competition. This is also the first time that the top prize went to a songwriter outside United States.
RedGorilla Music Fest is held in Austin, Texas, on March 14-17, 2007. Launched four years ago as the DreamScapers Artist Showcase, the event has grown each year under that name.
The International Songwriting Competition (ISC) has extended its submission deadline, so if you haven't already entered, you still have a chance. If you already have entered and wish to submit additional songs, you can still enter. All entries must be posted on or before November 17, 2006. ISC will continue to take online entries, as well as entries through the mail; the online submission platform will be open until 11:59 p.m. EST, November 17. There will be no further extensions of the deadline after this date.
