The Doctor's Orders returns to Scala with another phenomenal line up of the best names in Hip-Hop. From NYC super producer Just Blaze, to party starters extraordinaire The Nextmen and the UK's best Hip-Hop DJ, Mr Thing who now exclusively spins club shows only for The Doctor's Orders you are literally not gonna see or hear a line up like this anywhere else!

The UK is strong if you look at the moment. There is stuff out there to check behind all the fluff available as well. Associated Minds are one of the labels that consistently come up with the goods. Today they drop a brand new mix from UK DMC finalist Killer Tomato and Mayor featuring some of the UK's finest hip-hop producers and emcees. These should all be names you are aware of and all are artists who know how to smash their sector and never compromise their commitment to the craft and style.

The Doctor's Orders, The Big Chill House and Dephect are over the moon to announce the very first New Year's Eve party in London by "the kings of the capital's Hip-Hop scene" (Time Out).

ASM, standing for A State of Mind, are bringing back the funky, reggae, jazzy, live sounding hip-hop of the J-5s, the Pharcydes, the People Under the Stairs's. Accompanied by an all star line up of international hip-hop artists, they have been steadily touring and are gaining popularity by the second. Platypi are rare, so I was lucky to get some good answers out of these globetrotters, real cool guys who were a pleasure to talk to. Get to know.

Kidkanevil, like any good scientist has experimented extensively, has produced a watertight thesis and is ready to prove it to you with ‘Back Off Man, I’m a Scientist’ (out now on First Word Records). Kidkanevil, it seems, set out to prove that the bonds between modern, westernised music and traditional ethnic compositions still exist. He’s compounded and mixed elements of both and, quite organically, grown a hybrid form of music.

The Dirty Diggers are to release a remix EP this year and with appearances from Wiley, Kidkanevil and Umod it looks set to be a powerful mix of tunes. This will be their second release this year, following the album 'The Pleasure Is All Mine', which was released in march this year.
