Dominant G aka Dom G is not a new name in the hip hop world. His lyrical skills have been applauded by some of the biggest names in the industry including DJ 279, DJ Big Ted, DJ's MK and Shortie Blitz and Capital Xtra's Tim Westwood to name a few.

Dubbledge is certainly no freshmen in the British music scene. He’s done the festivals – Glastonbury included; tore up stages from London to Glasgow, performed all across Europe throughout Spain, Switzerland, Norway, Holland and Germany and recorded with some of the biggest talents the UK has to offer including Chase & Status, Alesha Dixon, Foreign Beggars, Jehst, Braintax, DJ Vadim, Kyza and The Scratch Perverts!

‘A New Bloodline’; Sir Smurf Lil’ teams up with the current cream of UK producers - Jehst, Apa-Tight, Beat Butcha, LG, Conspicuous and Asaviour - all men well known for their dusty Hip Hop beats. Don’t take that the wrong way though; on paper ‘A New Bloodline’ may seem like a quick tracing of the UK rap outline but in reality the uniquely stylised rendering of Smurf makes this more than just a carbon copy.

Cassandra Peters aka Lil Miss Reporter chats to LG about his thoughts and current situation in the musical genre of Hip-Hop. Hailing from West London, the producer has been working with various artists and enjoying what he does best, making music.

Fucking hell. I spent last night (from 8pm through til about 3am) at the Fav, chilling with the Leeds Hip-Hop Scene boys and more importantly catching up with Billy Brimstone AKA Jehst for a filmed interview.

Undoubtedly the cleverest MC in the UK right now and one of the few that can bridge the gap between the energy of Grime and the lyricism of Rap, Dubbledge’s first album for the UK’s cult Hip Hop label Low Life is a bumper collection of tracks laced with a welcome dose of intelligence, wit and a charismatic swagger.

Dom G is a long time head who has been blessing mics for years. He has a distinctive easy on your ears flow and sound which will captivate you. Finally Dom G is set to release his debut LP. This work has been a very long time in gestation and I am sure there are times when Dom G thought this album would never materialise.
