Average Keith is a rapper from Runcorn near Liverpool, North West UK. Here we dig back to 2014 for the title track taken from his five track EP - Wool In Scouse Clothing. Known as being a battle rapper he also dropped some severely funky offerings with this one claiming he is a wooly back and not a scouse MC.
Digging back within the Liverpool Hip Hop scene we go back to 2010 for Jambon and his funky track Fat Mouth. Jambon was one of the MCs who broke out of his local area and gained a bit of attention nation wide. Here was can see why with his stylistic flow and comedic lines.
The Mak Of All Trades comes from Liverpool and is part of the powerful Shakti outfit. He is renowned as being multi talented as he is a rapper, producer, beatboxer and is able to play many instruments. Whilst he is working on his full length LP he has released this tasty four track EP on the Elemental label.
Not a lot of Liverpudlian Hip Hop makes it down to me. The stuff I have heard is alright, but can sound a touch dated to me. It may also be somewhat of a stereotype, but I tend to think that Scouse MCs are best when they are acting like scallies or playing the humour card. Jambon does both of these things, but also has a few other tricks up his sleeve.
