Legendary Anglo-Asian electro-guitar noiseniks ADF cut their teeth as a sound system at anti-racist gigs in East London in the early 90s. Now massively popular worldwide they’re coming full circle to once again blast the racists trying to divide our society.
The 2009 Love Music Hate Racism Festival will be taking place at Stoke-on-Trent’s Britannia Stadium on the 30th May, running from 12 midday til 10pm. The festival will be the highlight of LMHR’s campaign against the BNP in the European Parliament elections. The fantastic initial line up announced this weeks includes:
LMHR's Victoria Park Carnival showed the mass multicultural audience determined to oppose racism and fascism. Now LMHR and Unite Against Fascism are calling a national demonstration and carnival parade against fascism and racism which will celebrate the diversity of our society and make it clear that racism and fascist organisations like the BNP will not be tolerated.
The Love Music Hate Racism Carnival '08 is fast approaching, it will undoubtedly be putting out one of the countries biggest anti-racism messages as well as urging people to use their vote just four days before the Greater London Assembly and local council elections - in which the likes of the fascist British National Party could do well if unchallenged.
Love Music Hate Racism (LMHR) this week launch their biggest initiative to date - a 29-track double CD compilation featuring some of the country's biggest acts (see full tracklisting and artist quotes on the LMHR website). Disc One of the CD appears on the front of the NME music magazine, in shops from last Tuesday in London and from yesterday Wednesday 17th in the rest of the UK. Disc Two can be downloaded for free.
