Canadian engineer and producer Marco Polo now resides in New York. Coming up through his internship at the Cutting Rooms where he engineered tracks by Talib Kweli, Fat Joe and Carl Thomas. At this time he was working with Jean Grae, Block McCloud and Pumpkinhead. He then connected with Master Ace for the ‘Do It Man’ beat on ‘A Long Hot Summer’…

This concept consists of sticking to the script of dropping raw underground Hip Hop without the glamour and glitz. Rawkus Records will celebrate its 12th year in business in 2008. In 2007 the label continued to develop many important new artists including Kidz in the Hall, Panacea, Marco Polo, and Hezekiah. Unlike the original core roster's (Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch) New York City base, the releases of 2007 focused on artists from Chicago, Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Toronto.

Veteran MC's Black Attack and Butta Verses have just release their new respective singles on a single 12" each taking a side each. Black Attack's single, "Black Man", is a hypnotic song that takes the listener on a journey through Black's world as a veteran rapper.
