He has been active in the Scottish Hip-Hop scene since 1997 and as a turntablist under the name DJ U-Turn qualified for numerous DMC Championships and even winning the Scottish DMC Championships in 2005. He went on to deejay on the same bill as numerous acts including DJ Premier, People Under The Stairs, DJ Cash Money, Lord Finesse, Lord Jazz and DJ Ali Shaheed Muhammad from A Tribe Called Quest.
