Alongside Noel Clarke, Adulthood re-unites several of Kidulthood’s cast including Adam Deacon (West 10 LDN, Sugarhouse, Ali G Inda House), Femi Oyeniran and Cornell S. Urban music drama series, Dubplate Drama, has been re commissioned by Channel 4 and MTV to produce 12 half hour episodes for an autumn 2007 airing. The world’s first viewer led interactive multi platform television show which premiered in 2005 on Sony Playstation’s PSP will be shown on Channel 4, E4, 4 On Demand, MTV UK One, MTV Base, MySpace and all mobile networks from Thursday September 20th.
Noel Clarke won the Laurence Olivier Award in 2003. He currently stars in Doctor Who as Mickey [Billie Piper’s boyfriend.] KiDULTHOOD is a very personal project for him, a lot of the characters are taken from real life people in his life and many of the scenes were created out of real life situations.
Kidulthood is a mixed bag. Probably the best of its sort so far. Rage having been pissed on from a great height and better than Bullet Boy. This film by Menhaj Huda follows a day in the life of a group of London school kids as they cope with the effects of bullying.
