On Sunday 2nd December, Lakota Bristol will be host to two hardcore hip-hop legends, as Ill Bill and Vinnie Paz arrive to showcase both their solo material and their work as the Heavy Metal Kings duo. The event is presented by OTU Live, part of entertainment collective Overrating the Underrated.

The Anthology of Rap is an exceptional book and certainly the most appropriate present I’ve ever been given (thanks Sis!). After unwrapping it I stared suspiciously at it for several hours as if it was some kind of alien artifact or the ark of the covenant. I had not been aware of it before and it looked big and interesting.

The highly anticipated second solo album from Brooklyn's independent hip-hop kingpin Ill Bill is finally scheduled for release on the Uncle Howie / Fat Beats label. The former Non Phixion standout and current La Coka Nostra riot-starter has surgically crafted the very album the hip-hop world has been missing and craving for far too long.

Like him or hate him, you have to admit that Necro is one of a kind. Being far from your average gun-slinging, brandy sippin’ New York rapper, it’s easy to see the appeal of such an original guy. When I sat down and thought about doing this interview, I have to say I had my doubts. The risk of being traumatised by what lay inside this twisted individuals brain was a fairly daunting thought.
