Grime pioneers Roll Deep who entered the charts at number 1 last month with their single, 'Green Light' have announced the “Winner Stays On Tour” - a 13 date UK outing starting February 11, 2011. Roll Deep put all the cynics to rest with their previous single, 'Good Times'. Not only did they hit the No. 1 spot on the UK charts, but they held the position for 3 consecutive weeks!
UK Hip Hop is beginning to grow at a rapid pace because of the genres unique mix of sounds that everyone can adapt to. Tate Modern today launches the second in the Tate Tracks series of exclusive music partnerships with a new track from East London grime collective Roll Deep. The new track “Searching” is inspired by Anish Kapoor’s sculpture Ishi’s Light and will be exclusively available at a listening post in front of the artwork for one month. The track will also be available for a further month from 1st November on the www.tatetracks.org.uk website.
