Although I wasn't there to witness the inevitable majesty of Wednesday's show, Tuesday's show was fantastic nevertheless. The reunion and 10 year anniversary of the Asylum Speakers album, featuring artists and full band made this a landmark of UK Hip Hop history. With both shows sold out, Dark Circle opened up, having travelled from Germany and Iceland, and set the tone for an incredible evening of music.
Northampton based rapper and producer Lifescarz M.I.C Terror is a name you need to get used to and has already been tipped as one of the main UK artists you need to look out for in 2012. His new mixtape "Rise Of The General" is hosted by Tricksta from the legendary UK Runnings mixtape series and features some killer features from the likes of Farma G from Taskforce, Malik from Moorish Delta 7, Ill Murk, Caesar, Council Kids and many more and well as some tough production from Gemini Beat Exporterz and Lifescarz himself.

The crème de la crème of UK talent gathered in Nottingham on Monday for the fifth annual Takeover. The UK Takeover has quickly generated a reputation for being the Mecca of UK hip hop, and will probably be the biggest show in any artist’s calendar, and rightly so.
Chester P steps back into the game with this tremedously original offering. Somewhere between here and Folk-Hop Chester delivers his usual dulcet tones for this semi acoustic track. The dope video is semi-animated and is nothing you have seen the likes of before in Hip Hop.
Its undeniable, The Elementz are making their own lane. Having introduced their sound to the UK in 2005 with the critically acclaimed Elementz Universe Vol1 EP featuring Skinnyman, the eagerly awaited, Elementz Universe Vol 2 is complete. Hailed widely as “super producers in the making” this is an exciting time for The Elementz, their sound now reaching for a much wider audience.
