D.Ablo a multi talented Musician and Artist, with a smooth soulful and emotional voice is one thats rare to find these days, Just Jack compliments the vocals with equal quality on the production and Essa (Formerly known as Yungun) delivers what is needed (as he all ways does).
It's been over a year since Tricksta dropped a volume of his UK Runnings 'Digital Revolution' mixtape series, as he took a break to complete his debut album 'Out Of Darkness Cometh Light', an explosive sixteen track album that features over forty-five UK Rappers. Now signed to leading UK urban label RGS Entertainment, Tricksta's alum is now due for release in the Spring 2012. So back at it, and the series that has so far seen LATE host volume one, M9 host volume two, Tbear host volume three, Big Cakes host volume four and Iron Braydz host volume five, is finally back.
I wrote these lyrics while helicopters were flying overhead and sirens blazed through the streets, I felt upset at the misrepresentation of my community and culture as a whole and wanted to speak out as i believe many others would like to do too. I was also alarmed by the reckless attitudes of those who have given up on the system and felt that only people from the community could reach out to them before things spiralled out of control.
The Little White Dot is the long awaited debut solo album written and produced by UK Hip-hop virtuoso Skriblah DanGogh and it's coming quicker than you think! To get your appetite going we've hit you with this brand new music video directed by Global Faction. The track entitled Belly Of The East is produced by Grime and UK Rap producer Smasher who has also produced for the likes of Devlin, Durrty Goodz, Ghetto, J2K, Klashnekoff, Roll Deep and more. This video is just a kind reminder us of why Skriblah and Terra Firma are so well respected in the scene.
One of the most accomplished lyricists in this country, Kyza has blessed both stage and song with his scene stealing verses. With an impeccable flow, and the ability to interweave intelligent story telling rhymes whilst keeping it road, Kyza is a force to be reckoned with.
If the aim of ‘Food 4 Da Brain Second Serving’ wasn’t to serve up a platter of perfectly complementing flavours then I’ll eat my hat. If that is what they set out to do then they’ve royally achieved it. The menu offers up tracks from the finest chefs on either side of the UK Hip Hop / Grime divide; in fact it tastily demonstrates the breaking down of the boundary.
M9 is branching out from his crew Triple Darkness to release his own solo LP entitled 144,000. The material is dark and had a deep level to the lyrics which requires further investigation. Our investagative reporter Aidan Severs managed to catch up with M9 and chatted about his beinings through to the LP release and the meanings behind it.
Terra Firma CEO and EMI owner Guy Hands has hired Bryant K. Oden's company B.K.O. Management to consult on EMI's back catalogue. A statement released by Oden he explains, "Guy Hands saw my vision and believed in my ideas. There is a new movement for EMI, either you get with B.K.O. Management or get left behind. I commend Guy for his innovative approach to the new music business and look forward to working with EMI in this new exciting endeavor".
The Gramaphone Bar was nearly at full capacity when Stylah and fellow Poisonous Poets, Tony D and Reveal walked on stage with their collection of tracks to perform. They started with a group track 'Here I Am' which got the crowd ready for the rest of the heat that the Poets were about to unleash. Stylah performed 'Snips In The Mix' though without the ever poisonous DJ Snips and the energy was accelerated.
