Vauxhall Tribes 2007 offers UK’s finest urban talent the chance to perform with Dizzee Rascal. This year’s Vauxhall Tribes event sees the final competitors battling it out at the Grand Final ‘showdown’ and those that lead in style and design will win the once in a lifetime opportunity to perform live on stage with Nationwide Mercury Music Prize nominee, Dizzee Rascal who will be judging at the London final.
David Crowe, AKA Larynx, won the Leeds leg of the Vauxhall Tribes regional tour with a stunning performance which brought humour and physicality to the art of beatboxing. He is currently studying Contemporary Dance in Leeds and has also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
It is a well known fact that aspiring U.K artists face a constant struggle against the barriers that have been thrown in front of them. Be it lack of funds, rejection by the mainstream media or just the absence of a decent venue, many talented young performers have fallen by the wayside.
