After picking up the mic and teaming up with Uncle Harry on his last two releases, Dead Ott returns to beats only mode with his new album ‘What Would Bill Do?‘ The first Killa Tapes Music release from Dead Ott; ‘What Would Bill Do? is an eclectic range of funky and chilled Hip Hop instrumental tracks. It’s a smooth journey or a project from the beat maker with this LP, a dope selection for the morning after the night before, or just to listen and chill to. As ever, the whole album is created by Dead Ott, including the artwork which is taken from a recent painting.
‘What Would Bill Do?’ is available exclusively on Killa Tapes Bandcamp, or on the Killa Tapes website.
As well as the release of the album, Dead Ott has also dropped the video to the first single ‘Said I’d Do It Today‘. This laidback head nodder features a mix of samples, live instruments and the Oxford based artist’s trademark brand of banging drums, making sure it still packs a punch! The video rips BBC archive footage of the early days of UK Hip Hop, showcasing graffiti, b-boying and some fly 80s style.
