BatFunk‘s ‘Don’t Blow Your Cool‘ delivers a reggae-tinged rhythm sitting underneath a soulful vocal hook and more lines packed full of lyrics injected with the BatFunk blend of humour and self-analysis.
As a kid, BatFunk was fascinated with the message and aesthetic of Hip Hop which was worlds apart from his upbringing in rural Cheshire. His education came in the form of mixtapes from street traders on Market Street in Manchester and copies of Hip Hop Connection from his local Post Office.
Hearing the words of Dr. Syntax and Professor Elemental for the first time inspired Batfunk to pick up a mic and he has never looked back.
Whether he appears on stage as BatFunk, mesmerising with a multi skilled live show of rapping and beatboxing or under his beat making moniker Mo Green; he is sure to deliver a dynamic that is rarely seen with such multitalented finesse.
