Welsh rapper, singer and songwriter Luke RV is dropping his eight track What’s That, Over There EP alongside the video for lead single ‘100 Moments‘.
Throughout the EP Luke shows versatility, switching between rapping and singing which alongside the production creates a distinctive sound. Luke has collaborated with a close knit group of friends / producers from Wales, one of them Kiddus also directed the ‘100 Moments‘ and ‘Long Term Parking‘ videos.
“‘What’s That, over there’ is a bit of an oxymoron to me. In terms of the title and the themes. My last big project was ‘Going Nowhere’, and I wanted to sort of reflect on my journey since then. That project alluded to the idea that you can accomplish lots, but still remain in the same place. With this project I wanted to convey that I am growing as an artist and as a person. ‘What’s That, over there’ can seem on the surface as curiosity – being open to other things around you. But it also can be a precursor for the grass is always greener. The idea that things look better the further they are from you. I think that bittersweet theme is quite consistent throughout my songwriting on this project. Trying to find the sweet spot between my optimism and nihilism.”
