Lawrence Sean Sibanda (aka Dragg) was born in Johannesburg in 1993 to Zimbabwean immigrants, and at twelve he faced a life-altering battle with meningitis, losing his eyesight in the process. Not letting his health complications become a hindrance, he set out to accomplish another vision with his remarkable ability to rhyme.
Johannesburg’s rich music scene shaped Dragg’s taste, leading him to embrace SA Hip Hop, R&B and Kwaito. Influenced by Skwatacamp, TK, Mandoza and Zola 7, his musical journey unfolded.
