Lyrics

[Intro]
Ay, yeah
You know, when it’s all said and done
I don’t want nobody mourning me
haha
Least of all, you lot that don’t even know me
haha
Ayo

[Verse 1]
There’s a lot of shit I did I still ain’t been forgiven for
Got me wondering what I’m living for
Still I give it more
Keep my rhythm raw
Break my back like it’s the law
Fell out of love with this
‘Cause music’s on some other dick
And I just don’t really fuck with it
I make beats, put in productive shifts
You’re acting like you’ve already had enough of it
We’re just some bones, some muscle and some blood
Your third eye must’ve been a dud
Are you looking for justice or a thug
Shout out to Ermias, they nipped his hustle in the bud
But a god will rise when the smoke clears
I hope you’re listening with both ears
There ain’t nothing but broken hope here
Resurrection or Heaven, death is what I don’t fear

[Chorus]
It’s just life
I’ll be fine
I’ll be alright (I’ll be alright)
As long as I get to tell my story
It’s just life
I’ll be fine
I’ll be alright (I’ll be alright) (ha, yo)
Just don’t mourn me

[Verse 2]
There’s a lot of friends I rarely been around
Got me feeling like I’m already in the ground
But I ain’t feeling down
I don’t need ’em now
I’m used to it
All my life I’ve been without
And if I’m honest, I ain’t got the patience for ’em
My hobbies erase the boredom
While they’re chasing awkward
Blindly
Some of ’em are walking dead
It’s like I already mourn them
You ain’t cursed, you are blessed
But I don’t serve you or worship you, yes
If you didn’t appreciate me in life
Well, guess what, you don’t deserve to in death
And this rigmarole is forever copied
They never see the beauty of your soul ’til it’s left your body
So therefore
I don’t care if you share your memories of me at my wake
You should’ve cared more

[Chorus]
It’s just life
I’ll be fine
I’ll be alright (I’ll be alright)
As long as I get to tell my story
It’s just life
I’ll be fine
I’ll be alright (I’ll be alright) (ha, yo)
Just don’t mourn me

[Verse 3]
We all got a friend that we ain’t checking on
A family member that’s being slept upon
Someone that’s going through Hell
Knowing damn well that they got no one to tell
I’ve been feeling bad for not reaching out
Guess it’s weird that I’m the one with this to preach about
I know what it’s like to be alone with the demons
When it’s like your life don’t have a meaning
It’s dangerous being left with your thoughts
You give ’em time for their pain
They share no effort for yours
Numb to the pain, ain’t feeling the love
Brings a new meaning to not keeping in touch
Me and my dad ain’t been speaking enough
The bond we share ain’t as deep as the cut
But we mask it well
Hope it don’t seep through the stuff that’s keeping it stuck
Guess I’m failing at being a son

[Chorus]
It’s just life
I’ll be fine
I’ll be alright (I’ll be alright)
As long as I get to tell my story
It’s just life
I’ll be fine
I’ll be alright (I’ll be alright) (ha, yo)
Just don’t mourn me
