After a three year hiatus, former Universal Soldiers front man Ric Branson returns with underground heavyweight producer Karnate and a brand new project entitled Blood Diamonds. From the melodic head bump of ‘Stay Tuned‘ with cuts by Evil Ed to the adrenaline-infused ‘How It Is‘ and the anthemic ‘Loyalty’, Ric Branson switches perspective from the personal to the prophetic, whilst Karnate shows off his established credentials with trademark flair and precision. Guest vocals appear courtesy of Ray Vendetta, Joe Flowtecs and Bad FX, adding extra dimension to the vocal presence of the North London technician.
Cited as one of the most influential and respected MCs of his era, Ric Branson’s latest offering looks set to cement him in UK Hip Hop folklore, with Karnate’s stock raised even further as a beatmaker of ultimate untapped quality.
