Potent Funk’s sea captain is back on grime. Dabbla enlists his High Focus comrade GhostTown to build a sub-heavy foundation for letting off steam. ‘Wave‘ follows Dabbla’s explosive EP Bad Tuesday, produced by Austrian duo alllone.
Though here, fans will be reminded of the grit GhostTown brought to their Dead Players collaborations, alongside Jam Baxter. It draws on a creative relationship also spanning Dabbla’s cult classic LPs Death Moves and Year Of The Monkey. But the notch has been turned, ever so slowly, once again.
