Jerry Lee Sago Jr is an artist that has worked with Snoop Dogg and DJ Smallz. His writing skills are incredible; every song is on point. His latest release, “Cocky”, is a feel good song. It’s about being yourself and leaving a relationship if your partner can’t accept you for who you are.
The song connects to the streets of Chicago and the streets of Rockford. It’s relatable for every hood in every city. JSAGO grew up listening to Mase, Camron, Puffy, Biggie, Nas and Nwa. His sound really can’t be explained because even though it’s an amalgamation of all his influences, it’s still different from all of them. He puts his own twist on everything, making it unique.
He self-produces all of his beats. He then looks for a topic and creates the hook, the verses just come after that. He plans on releasing his debut album, “GHOST”, in early August. He’s looking forward to performing it at the Aragonna Club in Rockford, IL in the future as that is his favorite place to perform.
Even though he is self-produced, he wouldn’t be opposed to working with a producer. In fact, it’s his dream to work with the 808MafiaBoss a.k.a Southside. He would also like to collaborate with Future on a project someday. Some other artists he enjoys listening to are G Herbo, Lil Baby and Lil Durk.
Social media helps him connect with his fans on a personal level, which is very important for him because he likes keeping them up to date with what he’s working on. He currently has a lot of things in the works so stay tuned!
