Last weekend saw Western Union Money Transfer host an event for their amazing new £4.90!! initiative launch. World record holder and UK number 1 freestyler, Steady, gave people the opportunity to compete against him in a bid to outperform the amazing B-Boy battler at the launch in London which was dubbed “The £4.90 Western Union Dance Off”.
Steady was seen spinning, popping and twisting his body with amazing moves and stunts in reflection to Western Unions incredible new initiative for Afro Caribbean communities nationwide in the UK. By dropping prices down to £4.90!!, Western Union have really pulled out the stops with their new £4.90!! price plans.
The events took place between Friday 16th – Saturday 24th February at several locations in London with the UK’s No. 1 freestyle dancer and Guinness World Record Holder, Steady. Steady performed a series of ‘amazing’ dance routines in Brixton on Saturday 17th February and Wood Green on Saturday the 24th of Feb.
Steady enthralled onlookers with his eclectic break dance routines and stunts, having the opportunity to out-perform Steady with their own amazing dance routines as well as Caribbean entertainers enlivening the streets of London with their vibrant acts.
Key facts on Steady:
- From Jamaican heritage, Steady started breaking as a cheeky kid in the 80s during the first wave of bboys
- He is one of the few original generation to have maintained the dance through the years and has helped to revive the scene in the UK, introducing numerous kids to bboying
