Jamm Presents… has produced some incredible highlights at the venue this year with Basement Jaxx and Hot Chip rocking the venue until dawn. And July 8th sees one of the most gifted DJs to walk this earth, DJ Yoda, take to the stage and deliver a set that will most certainly go down in Jamm folklore. This is DJ Yoda’s only London set for the next 3 months as his hits the festivals kicking off with Glastonbury this month.
One world famous beatboxer and five of the UK’s most exciting acoustic performers enter the music lab for you to witness a non-stop collaborative voyage of Loopstations, acoustic guitars and the human voice. This improvised show will be unlike anything that you will have seen before. Each of these incredible artists will perform individual sets, before embarking on an experimental musical relay across hours of back-to-back entertainment.

We are pleased to announce that Shlomo, the acclaimed British beatboxer, has been appointed as Artist in Residence at the Southbank Centre, Europe’s largest arts complex. By the age of 23, Shlomo has already done much to change perceptions of the art of beatboxing – expanding the possibilities of the vocal discipline that grew out of the hiphop scene.
Practise makes perfect. The annual Vauxhall UK Beatbox Championships were every bit as exciting as the first. Brighton based beat box extraordinaire Beardyman - Darren Foreman managed to scoop the coveted title for the second year in succession, seeing of competition from seven other regional finalists; this was Beardy’s time to shine.
Following on from the sell-out success of Shlomo’s Vocal Orchestra project in March, London’s Battersea Arts Centre have challenged Shlomo to create a new beatboxing choir in the space of only 48 hours. Shlomo will be performing two solo shows with special guests in the main hall on the Friday and Saturday nights.
