When it comes to word-play and multis, Life MC doesn't half hammer them out. From crazy off-the-top-of-the-dome freestyles on YouTube to socially-conscious solo albums, he's an incredible talent from the underground UK Hip-Hop scene who's been doing this thing for a fair few years now.

During 2012's Boom Bap Festival Oliver Sudden and Luca Brazi were sat in front of the Graffiti wall with a crate of beer discussing a few ideas while watching the 645 Squad paint a burner. After collaborations on previous Granville Sessions material and discussions about each others production, they decided to pair up and go fifty fifty on beats and rhymes on an EP. Shortly after the festival season recovery period the Wednesday studio sessions kicked off. Beats were exchanged, verses were penned, beers were necked... and so on.

Pete Cannon is a hip-hop producer and DJ from the north of England. Pete has several projects to drop this year with tracks that include artists such as Del the Funky Homosapien, Action Bronson, Maffew Ragazino, Sway and Rizzle Kicks to name but a few. Most recently he produced half of the new Dirty Dike album, a new LP with Dr Syntax and an instrumental album with Wizard on SBTV.

It's been 16 long years since Bay Area rappers and producers Lateef the Truth Speaker and Lyrics Born, who together make up Latyrx, released their critically acclaimed The Album, widely regarded as a seminal work in the West Coast underground hip-hop scene of the mid to late 1990s. Now, the technically lauded duo are preparing to release a long awaited follow up, The Second Album, due out November 5th with an extraordinary roster of guest artists and producers from groups and collectives that reads like a modern day music festival line-up, including Tune Yards, Anticon, Living Colour, The Decemberists, Blackalicious, and more.

Pragmatic Theory is a collective of artists from all over and is also an imprint within a label. The label being Rhythm 22 which is also a blog. Got that? Right. So what is Verbal Architecture? Its a compilation LP featuring 24 tracks from a diverse set of acts and it is something you ought to check.

Welsh comedy rap group, (boy I bet they sometimes wish they never backed themselves into that corner) Goldie Lookin Chain are about to release new album Kings Of Caerleon. The Newport collective are celebrating a decade of success since first gaining the public's attention with their first releases back in the early 2000s. The new album is to be released on 2nd September (today) which features vintage Goldie Lookin Chain material including sharp lyrical observation with the same comedic value.

After dropping their The Letters EP at the end of last year Adam the Rapper and producer Cuth return with a nice well sampled track which is very much in their style. Mowtown soulful grooves and sensible raps make for an easily accessible track. Laid back and relaxing, its a track to vibe out to at the end of summer.

Reks is an emcee who needs no introduction. Or does he? As a Hip Hop head, I would personally consider you to be asleep if you had overlooked his 2008 joint Say Goodnight and the phenomenal 25th Hour, both Premo bangers. But Reks has been a key player in the evolution of Boston Hip Hop and the global underground scene generally and has made several albums. He has just released his seventh album Revolution Cocktail.

'Long Time Coming' is the latest single from Middlesbrough, UK based hip-hop duo Leddie And Smoggy's forthcoming album, Sorry We're Late..., which is set for release in early October. Following the success of debut single 'Walk The Line', 'Long Time Coming' serves as an explanation for the album's delay: mainly due to the artist's respective personal lives.

London based Hip Hop artist, Just P, has released the official music video to his latest laid back track, Change Of Scenery. The track features a soft, key based instrumental which, was produced by talented producer Smiley Smuggler, and P uses to make a track about going on holiday to escape his stresses.
