I've been sent a couple of volumes of Tricksta's UK Runnings series in the past and although I was impressed with the product he pushed, the tune selection tended too much towards the street / grime angle to really catch my attention on a day-to-day...

We at britishhiphop.co.uk are really excited about an upcoming album by an artist you may not know about yet but should. He is a producer and an emcee - his name is Black Milk. He's been buzzing about on the underground for a minute now. In fact, you may actually know about him already - If you're like me, you like to dork out when you get a new album by rushing to read the liner notes. And if you own a recent Slum Village album, then you know about Black.
 

Nneka rolls out the carpet for a stunning return to form with the release of her second single, ‘God Of Mercy’, to be taken from her debut album, ‘Victim Of Truth’ out on Four Music / Yo Mamma’s Recordings, and it looks set to sizzle this year.

The Grimey Limeys crew consists of Sloth (rapper / producer), Peck (rapper), Jonny Gutta (rapper), Kolbi (producer) and Avee (producer). The Limeys started out in 1999 on London's Raw FM. In 2004 the limeys dropped the infamous Big Boot CD) which sold an impressive 7000+ units which is good going for a UK debut. The Limeys have collaborated with many people in the scene from Gemma Fox to Asher D.
 

The Sons Of South are a six man crew as you would expect from the name come from the bottom half of the UK. The group comprises four MCs – Nature Kid, Mr Prophecy, Blaze MC and the Verbal Remedy as well as two DJs Jeckal and Terrorist who is also the main producer.
