UK-born and bred (residing just north of London in Luton) emerging rap artist, lyricist, and producer 'Lucius∴' is set on breaking through into the current and flourishing UK underground rap scene with his debut cut - 'Work'.

For those of you who don't know about Northwest London emcee AC you really do need to get switched on to this incredibly dedicated and passionate artist. This new five track EP from AC is the official prelude to his brand new album 'Keep It Together' which is currently just getting the finishing touches and is due out soon. It sees AC team up with producer Deadman Walkn who gives up four brilliant beats and who has worked with the likes of Genesis Elijah, Wordsmiff, Terra Slim.

Illustrate is a multi talented producer and MC who has released his Work EP and followed that up this year with his The Stuff LP. Find out what he had to say about going to Australia, producing for your self and artists he has collaborated with in this interview with Certified Banger...

Stuff is great. It’s anything, anyone, any place, any time. Kind of like hip hop... How Illustrate has managed to take such a juvenile term and make it into a genuinely thought provoking, yet entertaining collection of tracks, is beyond me.

Having already reviewed Illustrate’s ‘Work’ EP means I’ve already assessed 4 out of 14 tracks on ‘The Stuff’, make sure you check out my review of that as well as reading this. Right, on with the review then.

First off, big up to Headcount Records for being the first to send me vinyl to review - that's the realness right there. Illustrate is a one man music machine; producing, rapping and scratching in varying combinations. Having already released his EP 'Bedroom Production' and the mix CD 'Get the Picture' he has dropped this quadruple A-side 12" as a taster of what's to come on his album 'The Stuff' to be released this October.

Friday 25th April marked a momentous day in the careers of the IRS. The group, who released their phenomenal debut album ‘The World Is Theirs’ late last year, where up against a number of other notable artists for the title of ‘Best Hip Hop Act’.

You may have not heard about the Indy Music Awards but IRS have been nominated by the Primrose [a lively pub in Leeds that they played at]. There doesn't seem to be that many hip hop artists in the runnings, so if the IRS get the votes in they might get short listed for the errrr.... *cough* 'Urban Music Award'.

Intelligent Rhyme Styles, Impossible Rendered Simple, In Record Stores, Intricate Rhyme Schemes, I Recommend Strongly, I’m Rarely Sober, It’s Really Something… However you wish to extend the acronym, The IRS are a five strong crew from South London who provide a mixture of lyrical flare, bass heavy beats, intelligent and original subject matter and cocksure charisma.
