LYAM ft. Wiki - The Reapers

East London rapper, producer and designer LYAM (aka Liam Harris-Williams) returns with his first new single since 2020 featuring New York rapper Wiki (aka Patrick G. Morales).

A change of direction from the sleeker club stylings of LYAM’s 2020 debut mixtape N_O CALLER ID, new single The Reapers sees the artist draw for an epic superhero-feel underground rap boom-bap beat with his agile precise bars complimented perfectly by Wiki’s New York texture change firing up the last third.

LYAM was one of the founders of the now mythical TTY (TheTheYouth) creative network of independent spanning artists, designers and coders. While the collaborative organisation fell apart shortly before releasing its debut album Cry, but Go in 2019 the independent nodes of the network have all gone on to flourish in the 2020s, including Jeshi and John Glacier.

As the artists formerly part of TTY roll out their projects, it’s looking like one of the most influential ideas in UK music of recent times (that no one has ever heard of). LYAM’s 2020 debut featured Shygirl, John Glacier, Fredwave, Jeshi, Sporting Life and Lauren Auder.

Playtime’s over I am out for the wins… swear I am supercharged up“, raps LYAM with multiple references to the caped crusader, this is the first episode in an all action and triumphant return.
